The Long Tall Texans
‘The Devil Made Us Do It’

It´s only taken 8 years for the Brighton trio to come up with a new album this time. As with ‘Adventure’ the lyrics for ‘The Devil Made Us Do it’ have been largely penned by Garry Castleman, though his band duties have been long relieved by guitarist ‘Brother’ Matt live and on record. Of course it’s still Texan stalwarts Mark Carew on vocals and double bass and Theo cracking the drum kit. The Long Tall Texans have really upped their game and tempo with this release. In a way they have gone full circle back to their psychobilly roots with some blistering rock n roll, all blasted out in their own inimitable genre-mangling style of unadulterated feel-good fun. 13 songs produced & engineered by Mark Roberts at Empora Recordings and mastered by Tim Rowkins. This is going to be hard to believe after all these years and success worldwide, but it’s not just hyperbole, this new album is simply one of their best ever.
